NASHVILLE, Tenn., January 10, 2003 Six of the areas leading rheumatology physicians with Arthritis Specialists of Nashville (formerly Medical Specialists of Nashville) are now practicing at Centennial Medical Center.

Physicians with Arthritis Specialists of Nashville include:
Joseph W. Huston III, M.D. has been a practicing physician for more than 30 years and received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He has serves as a clinical associate professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee. He also serves as a co-director of the Arthritis Pain Center at Easter Seals. Huston is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty board of Rheumatology.
Robert M. Johnson, M.D. brings 40 years of experience to the group. In addition to his experience as a practicing physician, he has served as a clinical associate professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and a clinical instructor of medicine at the University of Tennessee. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board eligible in Hematology.
David S. Knapp, M.D. has been a practicing physician for almost 25 years. During his career, he has served as a clinical instructor of internal medicine at Vanderbilt University and director of the Arthritis Clinic at Nashville Metropolitan General Hospital. He serves as a medical director of the Arthritis Pain Center at Easter Seals. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty board of Rheumatology.
Marvin P. Meadors III, M.D. has been a practicing physician in Nashville since 1990. Prior to that, he completed an internship and residency at the University Hospital in Jackson, Miss., and a fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Meadors received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty board of Rheumatology.
Kevin J. Myers, M.D. brings 15 years of experience as a practicing physician to the group. A graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, he has also served as an assistant professor of Rheumatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the subspecialty board of Rheumatology.
Paul W. Wheeler, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham (UAB). He completed his residency at UAB and subsequent fellowships at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Vanderbilt prior to his board certification in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and Infectious Diseases. He remains an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Vanderbilt. Wheeler provides inpatient consults at five area hospitals as well as his outpatient Rheumatology practice at Centennial.
